History

I am a senior member of the Criminal Bar in Eastern Ontario specialized in Criminal Law for 4 decades. Certified as a Specialist in Criminal Law I am required to provide well informed exemplary service to my clients. During my career I have written and edited two leading textbooks on Forensics, been a member of the Law Reform Commission of Canada, and been involved in Seminars and Radio Shows throughout the years.

I take great pride in my work and have honed my legal skills in courtrooms across the Country. I have appeared in Criminal matters in the Supreme Court of Canada, both the Ontario and Quebec Court of Appeal, Courts in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Nunavut. I am well known amongst my colleagues as a Lawyer that does not give up easily and one that is passionate about Justice for his clients.

I adhere to a very strong ethical code and will do anything for my clients that they would do if they had my knowledge skill and training and did not lie to the court or other lawyers. I expect my clients to answer all my questions honestly and trust in my promise that I will never betray that confidence.

I grew up outside of Toronto on a hobby farm. I am no stranger to hard work, and I have had my own businesses since I was 16. I paid my way through Law School with a business I ran in the summer and I remain convinced that my efforts at independence have held me in good stead as a defence lawyer.

To be a good defence lawyer you must posses a thorough knowledge of the Criminal Law. This is a very fast paced life and you are often running at Mach 5 with the feeling your hair is on fire. There are many more character traits that are needed. From my perspective you need to be social, able to communicate with anyone, possess a fundamental understanding of human nature and be very forgiving of the mistakes and foolish choices we all make.
